Sandra Sherry, 77, passed away Monday June 6, 2022, at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City, IN.
Sandra was born December 13,1944, in Muskogee, OK., the daughter of the late Premo Angelo and Peggy (Craft) Cavalline. Sandra was the oldest of eight children. She was raised in a loving home in Brockport, Pa. She graduated from Ridgway High School in 1962.
Sandra later married the late Donald R. Sherry Sr. on April 18,1964. Beginning their life together in Emporium, Pa., where they started their family and had four children. During this time, they owned and operated The Mid-Town Lounge Restaurant. They later moved to Yanceyville, NC. in 1978, where they started a small Company. During her years in Yanceyville Sandra spent part of those as a stay-at-home mother taking care of her four children. Later going back into the work force to help the family financially. In 1984 they moved their family to Tell City, IN. She was later divorced in 1991, where she started a new chapter in her life. Sandra had several job titles throughout her working career. She worked as manager of the Knights of Columbus for several years, she also was manager of the Little Caesars in Tell City. She went on to be Teller/Vault Teller at Old National bank where she retired in 2013.
Sandra enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and friends. She also enjoyed her many vacation trips with her siblings over the later years.
Survivors include her children Peggy (John) Greer of Tell City, IN., Jeff (Deanna) Sherry of Clarksville, TN., Bob Sherry of Clarkson, Ky., daughter-in-law Shelly Sherry of Tell City, IN. Siblings Ronnie Cavalline of Dubois, Pa.; David (Colleen) Cavalline of Ridgway, Pa.; Bobby (Pam) Cavalline of Charlotte, NC.; Sherry (Andy) Watt of Dubois, Pa.; Jimmy Cavalline of Ridgway, Pa.; Kevin Cavalline of Ridgway, Pa.; Chris (Lynn) Cavalline of Brockport, Pa. Grandchildren Joshua, Brittney, Courtney, Jessie, Caleb, Cameron, Toni, Ella, Jordan, and Bekah, 9 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Donald R. Sherry Jr. and her sister-in-law JoJo Cavalline.
Services will be at 10:00am Friday June 10, 2022, at St. Paul Catholic Church with Fr.Steve Donahue officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3:00pm to 7:00pm Thursday, June 9, 2022, and 8:30 to 9:30 on Friday at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.
