Sharon F. Keilman, 73, of Tell City, passed away on January 11, 2024, at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, IN.
Sharon was born on October 13, 1950, in Tell City, IN, the daughter of Emil Edward and Betty Lois (Freeman) Fruehwald.
She was a 1968 graduate of Tell City High School. She went on to further her studies at Indiana State University, first in 1972 with a bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education, then taking it further in 1974 by obtaining her master's degree in Education. She was united in marriage to Dallas Keilman on December 21, 1974. They were blessed with just having celebrated their 49th Wedding Anniversary.
Sharon was a second-grade teacher at Tell City Troy Township School Corporation from which she retired after 35 years of service. She was a member of the Perry County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Sharon was a devout Christian, and a long-time member of First Baptist Church. She enjoyed taking care of her plants, doing word games, and traveling. Sharon loved her family and could always be found at any event her granddaughters were participating in.
Survivors include her husband, Dallas Keilman; daughter, Stephanie (Kris) Walsh; granddaughters, Julia and Olivia Walsh, and bonus granddaughter, Emma Osborne.
In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her brother, Ed Fruehwald.
Funeral Services will be 1pm on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at First Baptist Church with Rev Dan Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3pm to 7pm on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home and from 12pm until service time on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at First Baptist Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, Vacation Bible School.
