Stanley Ellison

Stanley W. Ellison, 78, of Tell City, IN, passed away on December 13, 2023, in Nashville, TN.

He was born in Royal Center, IN, on November 17, 1945, to Porter and Mary (Fletcher) Ellison.

Stanley graduated from Royal Center High School in 1964 and went on to further his studies at IPFW University to obtain his associate degree. He was united in marriage to Betty R. Wipperman on January 22, 1965, together they shared 58 years together. Stanley was employed as the maintenance man at the Woods of Britton apartment complex. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, woodworking, and camping.

Survivors include his wife, Betty R. Ellison; his children Lynn (Scott) Spillman and Keith (Nanchu) Ellison; sister, Loretta Conway; grandchildren, Amanda (Benjamin) Crippen, Mykala Spillman and Cole Spillman.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Reaford, Thomas, James Denvil and Buford Ellison and his sisters, Beverly DePoy and Juanita Koekenberg.

A memorial gathering will be held from 11:00am to 2:00pm on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.
