Stevie Pierrard

Stephen “Stevie” Duane Pierrard, 57 years of age, passed away on December 22, 2023, in his home.

Stevie was born on February 23, 1966, in Tell City, Indiana, to the late Oliver Edward “Buck” and Hettie Pierrard. He was the youngest of 9 children.

Stevie retired from Perry Central High School as a Custodian after 30 years of service. He loved working at the concession stands at a lot of the games. He participated in some Special Olympics and enjoyed bowling. Stevie loved the Night to Shine, dancing the night away. He was always the life of the party and quite the karaoke singer. He loved his family and his friends, and he will be terribly missed by all.

Stevie is survived by his siblings, Geneva Ferguson (Larry) of Lamar, Wanda Kemp of Apalona, Oliver “Big O” Pierrard Jr. of Bristow, Robert “Bob” Pierrard (Sheila) of Oakland City, Juanita Pierrard Kunkler of St. Anthony, Larry Pierrard of Apalona, and Norman “Barney” Pierrard (Lori) of Apalona; sister-in-law, Kim Pierrard of Tell City; 16 nieces and 16 nephews; 16 great-nieces and 16 great-nephews; 6 great-great-nieces and 4 great-great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Oliver Edward “Buck” Pierrard, mother, Hettie J. (Flamion) Pierrard, brother, Paul Dennis Pierrard, nephew, Greg Kemp, and two great nephews, Isaak Kemp and Scott Miller, brother-in-law, Art Kemp, and sister-in-law, Marilyn Pierrard.

Visitation will be at 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, and from 9:00 am to 10:00 am on Wednesday at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at St. Isidore Catholic Church with Fr. Luke Waugh officiating. Burial will follow immediately in St. Isidore Catholic Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association or Perry Central Schools Athletic Dept.
