Sylvia Marie Hyde

Sylvia Marie Hyde,75, passed away Thursday October 21, 2021 at Transcendent Health Care in Boonville, IN.

She was born in Spencer CO, IN on June 14, 1946 the daughter of the late William Robert and Mary (Graham) Purviance. Sylvia married Gilbert “Shag” Hyde who preceded her in death.

She owned and operated a St. Clair Motel at Rough River, KY and enjoyed reading. She was a member of Troy Christian Church.

She is survived by her siblings, Lois M. Thomas of Tell City, IN, Ruth E. (Norman) Weber of Jasper, IN, Mary Sue Purviance of Evansville, IN, Evie Purviance of Tell City, IN, William Purviance, Jr. of Grand Prairie TX, Debra (John) Dormeier of Evansville, IN and Gary Purviance of Grandview, IN.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by sisters Bobbie Jean Smith and Linda Kyle.

Services will be 1:00 pm Tuesday October 26, 2021 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery in Chrisney, IN.

Visitation will be 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
