Velma Taylor, 84, passed away May 3, 2020 at Oakwood Health Campus.
Born November 20, 1935 to the late Henry and Thelma (Lanman) Ford
Velma was united to Wilbur Eugene Taylor on April 21, 1956 who precedes her in death.
Also preceding her in death are sons Wilbur Louis in infancy and Larry Taylor, twin sister, Thelma Wolf, sisters Nancy Peter, Mary Marchand, and a brother Henry Ford II.
Known for her generosity, for making sure everyone had enough to eat and playing bingo, for all the love she felt for her grandkids and great grandkids. There is nothing Velma liked more than an interesting conversation with a good many questions.
Surviving are her children, Rick Taylor (Juanita) of Newtonville, Barry Taylor (Karen) of Derby, Angela Claise (Harry) of Cannelton, daughter-in-law, Cathy Taylor of Tell City, and a sister, Betty Morris of Hawesville, KY.
Grandchildren Larry Louis (Alicia) Taylor, Tiffany (Gary) Risse, Allen Taylor, Preston Taylor, Daniel (Pam) Taylor, Ashley Claise, Christopher Lawalin, Hunter Claise, Jacob Claise and 6 great grandchildren.
Due to current state mandates, services will be private with burial in Lily Dale Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice or SWIRCA Meal Program.
