Vera M. Terry, 101, passed away September 27, 2023, at her daughter's home in Cottontown, TN.
She was born on September 3, 1922, in Rochester, Indiana, the daughter of Ernest and Orah (Alspach) Caslow. After graduating from high school Vera went on to obtain her associate degree. She was united in marriage to Glenn Terry on April 20, 1947. Vera was an active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, when able to attend, where she held several offices and played the piano. She was a dedicated homemaker and had also worked as a teacher at Job Corps. Vera enjoyed music and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her son Stephen (Suzanne) Terry of Tell City; her daughter, Medrith (Dale) Adams of Cottontown, TN; 6 grandchildren, Rebekah (Jim) Dixon, John Terry, Elizabeth (J.D.) Pyle, Krista Bush, Stephen (Patricia) Laurence Adams, and Medrith “Katie” Thomas; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Vera was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Glenn Terry and her siblings, Louise Caslow, Daniel Caslow, Irene Caslow, John Caslow, Mary Clayburn, and Dora Gleason.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, October 1, 2023, at Seventh Day Adventist Church with burial to follow in Mt. Zion Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3pm to 7pm on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at the funeral home and on Sunday from 10am until service time at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Tell City, IN.
