Wanda Lucille Brown

Wanda Lucille Brown, 86, of Tell City, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at Brickyard Health Care in Tell City. She was born on July 9, 1940, in Tell City to the late Claude and Hilda (Elder) Hagedorn.

Wanda was a graduate of Tell City High School and went on to dedicate 41 years of her working life to General Electric in Tell City. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved her family dearly and was known for spoiling them all. Wanda enjoyed playing Euchre, watching Indiana University ball games, and spending time with family and friends. She especially enjoyed gathering with those she loved at her favorite eating spot, Julie’s Tell Street Café, where many good times and memories were shared.

Wanda is survived by her children, Kim (Rex) Kamman of Huntingburg, Kevin (Lori) Burns of Evanston, Keith Burns of Evanston, Kent (Denise) Burns of Lamar, Tracie Schraner of Tell City, and Scott (Beth) Brown of Tell City; a sister, Martha Schank of Tell City; a brother, Tom (Cathy) Hagedorn of Tell City; along with 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her siblings, Phil Hagedorn, Gene Hagedorn, Debbie Sandage, and Wayne Hagedorn, and a grandson, Dakota Hahus.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. until service time at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Burial will follow in St. Mark’s Catholic Cemetery in Tell City.
