William “Lee” Eades, 71, of Tell City, passed away on September 1, 2023, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital.
He was born in Tell City on August 10, 1952, to William Alan and Violet (Geer) Eades. Bill was united in marriage on August 21, 1972, to Betty Jean Smith, and they recently shared their 51st anniversary.
Bill worked as a skilled sealer/ sander at Master Brand Cabinet, and prior to that he worked 30+ years for Schwab Safe Company. He enjoyed car shopping, bicycles, and going antiquing. He was a lover of music and thoroughly enjoyed listening to his records. He loved taking long drives and always enjoyed singing. Most importantly he loved his family deeply.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Betty Eades; his daughter, Roberta Ann Blair; siblings, Sharon Smith and Jerry Eades; grandchildren, Mistie Scott-Dupont, Jeffrey Lee Scott, and Zachary James Scott.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Steven Beard and Russell Beard; and brother Larry Eades.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, 10:00am at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home with Brother Harry McDonald officiating. Burial will follow in New Cliff Cemetery in Cannelton.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, from 3 to 7pm, and on Wednesday from 8am until service time at the funeral home.
