Winfield "Bud" Barnett

Winfield “Bud” Barnett, 86, of Tell City, IN, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2025, at Brickyard Health Campus.

He was born in Cloverport, KY, on October 17, 1938, to Dutch and Lucille Barnett.

Bud was known as a hard worker. In his younger years, he cut timber in a sawmill. Bud also drove a bus that would take people to state fairs and rodeos, during which time he met a lot of famous singers. He was an animal lover and had many beloved dogs over the years, Whiskers and Little Dog, to mention a few. Bud also loved to watch westerns and owned several of them.

In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by brothers, Dickie, James, and William Orville Barnett.

A visitation will be held from 9:00am to 11:00am on Friday, October 10, 2025. Burial will take place at Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery in Cloverport, KY.
