Yvonne Kaye (Rice) Simpson

Yvonne Kaye Simpson, 73, passed away June 29, 2023, at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City, IN. She was born on August 2, 1949, in Tell City, IN, the daughter of the late Rudy and JoElla (Goble) Rice.

Yvonne was a 1967 graduate of Cannelton High School. She was united in marriage to Stephen Simpson on November 8, 1986. Yvonne retired as a Sales Representative from Alstadt Office City. She had also worked as a Human Resources Manager at Stewart Warner and NSA. Yvonne enjoyed dogs, music, dancing, traveling, watching television and movies, and most of all spending time with her family.

Surviving are her nieces, Layla Wilson (Chadd), Myra Shearn (Nathan); nephews, Tony Keown (Whitney), Brent Rice, and Patrick Keown.

In addition to her parents Yvonne is preceded in death by her husband, Steve Simpson; her siblings, Larry Rice, Marilyn (Rice) Keown, and Rosalund Sipes.

A memorial service will be held at 1 pm on July 29, 2023, at Union Baptist Church in Hawesville, KY. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 am until service time on July 29, 2023, at Union Baptist Church.
