Betty Lee Hilgers, loving mother, 89, passed away January 10, 2018.
She was born September 6, 1928 to Lloyd and Edith (Braun) Starkey in Louisville, KY.
Betty was married to the late Charles Knobeloch and the late Ted Hilgers.
She was a member of the Eastern Star and the First United Methodist Church. Betty enjoyed traveling, tole painting, and spending time at her cabin in Rome, Indiana.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Harris of Derby; stepdaughters, Diane Holz (Nick) of Greenville and Barbara Rosenwinkel of Merrillville; brother, Gary Starkey (Dorothy) of Tell City; brother-in-law, Dr. Calvin Knobeloch of Durham, NC; several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her grand-dogs, Tessa and Lola.
Preceding her in death are her parents; her husbands; son, Larry Knobeloch; son-in-law, James L. Harris; sister-in-law, Sheila Knobeloch; and stepson-in-law, Ed Rosenwinkel.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 pm Monday, January 15 at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Pastor Sam Padgett will officiate. Visitation will be from 3 – 7 pm Sunday, January 14 and from 11 am – 1 pm Monday at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.
