Kasif “Karl” Cagarli, 84, with his great strength and dignity, died Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Oakwood Health Campus. He was born October 7, 1928 in the Autonomous Republic of the Crimea.
Surviving are his three daughters; Semra Roland of Tell City, IN, Zehra Unver of Cypress, CA, Suheyla Akkas of San Juan Capistrano, CA; one son, Turgut Cagarli of Rockaway, NJ; younger sister, Ihsan Turker of FL; younger brother, Rustem Cagarli of NY; nine grandchildren, Aylin and Jake Roland, Beril and Peri Unver, Melisa and Sera Akkas, Morgan, Lindsay and Hayley Cagarli.
Proceeding him in death are his parents, Sahsine and Emin Cagarli; his wife, Nazmiye Cagarli; and older sister, Saliha Dolan.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 9, 2012 at the Mosque Of the Crimean Turk Association of New York in Brooklyn, NY. Burial will be in Washington Memorial Park in Coram, NY.
There will be no visitation at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Perry County Memorial Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
