Mary E. Cassidy, 87, of Evansville, IN passed away at her home on March 14, 2017 after a long illness.
She was born October 11, 1929 in Perry County, IN to Frank and Nannie Faulkenberg.
She married Alfred A. Cassidy in 1948, who preceded her in death in November, 1967.
Mary graduated from Oil Township High School and lived in Tell City, IN from 1948 until 1992 and retired from General Electric in Tell City. She moved to Evansville in 1992 and worked for Stein Mart for a few years. She was interested in fashion, clothing, and jewelry.
Surviving are her children, Von (Nancy) Cassidy of Mooresville, IN, Debra Pfiefer of Tell City, and Tami (Greg) Cassidy-Fehn of Evansville. She was blessed with 4 grandchildren, Justin and Logan Fehn, Lisa (Brad) Dauby, and Amy Simpson; and 5 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Vance Faulkenberg of Martinsville, IN and Fred Faulkenberg of Monrovia, IN.
Preceding her in death are her brothers, John Faulkenberg and Harold Faulkenberg; and sisters, Betty Bishop and Jean Warfel.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm Friday at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home with burial in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm Friday at the Funeral Home.
